Long Term Care

Research Shows that 7 in 10 individuals will need in-home care during their lives. And, 1 in
2 women and 1 in 3 men who reach age 65 will use nursing home services at some point in their
lives. The current average cost for nursing home care in Indiana is approximately $50,000 per
year. The cost will vary by geographic area and by facility.
It is important to look into purchasing long term care insurance while you are still
healthy enough to qualify for coverage. In addition, premiums are based on age at time of purchase.
The younger you are, the less expensive the premium.
